While they may be offered with the best intentions, not all gifts are going to be practical for your organization. You may not want to accept certain types of gifts or gifts from certain types of companies. For example, if your organization is focused on sober living, it might not be sensible to accept a donation from a vodka company. If you don’t already have one, a gift acceptance policy is something should discuss with your board.
