Minimum Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, or related field and at least two years grants administration experience, preferably in a nonprofit or public sector environment.
Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs for grant compliance.
Experience with facilitating meetings and conducting oral presentations.
Provide copy of valid California driver license, have reliable transportation, and submit current proof of vehicle insurance.
Satisfactory completion of WEAVE’s peer counselor training program.
Advanced computer skills in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office, and Outlook. Type 45-50 wpm with accuracy.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, and good analytical ability.
Excellent organization skills.

Qualifications and Job Requirements: 

Responsibilities:

 

Proposal Development & Submission – 30%

Assists in processing RFAs/RFPs, solicitations, renewals, and new applications.
Secures MOUs, Operational Agreements, and Letters of Support needed for proposal submission.
At the direction of the Director of Grants & contracts, assists with coordinating grant application process with program management including scheduling deadlines, assisting with grant writing and the setting of goals and objectives, assembling, reviewing, and submitting proposals/applications in a timely manner.

Post Award Implementation – 20%

Prepares grant summaries for new awards and renewals; updates summaries as needed based on modifications
Updates grants management system with new award information, funder contacts, budgets, programmatic objectives, reporting requirements, etc.

Grants Management – 50%

General management of all government and private/foundation grants
Meets with new program managers, directors, and finance staff to provide all pertinent grant and contract information and ensure understanding of program grants and their objectives and to establish clear guidelines and deadlines for reports
Upon award of grants collaborates with program and finance staff to ensure understanding of the agency’s obligations under the grant/contract by disseminating grant information via a formal orientation process, establishing data collection procedures, setting up a schedule of grant reports and working with program staff to monitor grant objectives throughout grant period
Coordinate’s funder site visits, including facility tours, answering questions, and providing records and documentation
Maintains MOUs required by funders, alerts program directors of upcoming renewals and assists them in the renewal process including preparing the MOU, securing internal signatures, writing letters to agencies, and following up with program directors to ensure MOU completion
Produces program audits to report frequency of services, effectiveness of services, and staff performance
Grant modification/amendments
Writes, tracks, and submits foundation reports in partnership with program leadership and Philanthropy Department.
Works collaboratively with the Director of Grants & Contracts and Database Administrator to coordinate and conduct quarterly data team meetings.
